 Prokitegua – Margarita kitesurfing School is committed to provide top quality, safe, and personalized kiteboarding instruction using the latest designed kites and boards for fast learning.
Located on the internationally famous el yaque beach in margarita island, Venezuela, we benefit from the constants tradewinds and beautiful scenary of crystal clear waters to teach you the ins and outs of kiteboarding. As a student, you will be accompained by your instructor by boat. By this way your instructor is always close to you, allowing him to see every move you make, and give tips according to your needs. Our head instructor and founder of Prokitegua (Juan Carlos) has over 9 years of kiteboarding experience and over 7 years of kiteboard-teaching experience.Certified by the IKO, our team of instructors will ensure a fun and safe lesson, in which becoming an independent kiteboarder is the main goal.
Thanks to the steady trade winds, lessons can be given almost every day of the year. Lessons are mostly from 09:30 to 11:30 or from 13:00 to 15:00. Of course we can adapt these times to your convenience.
We teach kiteboarding to anybody who wants to learn this great sport and is able to swim and want to experience a great adventure. Thanks to the warm water and the steady winds, learning to kiteboard has never been easier and funner.

Begginers Program 6 Hours: divided in lessons of 2 hours each (2 days)
2 hours: Intro (theory lessons, safety and kite flying)
2 hours: bodydrag (power kite control)
2 hours: water start (stand on the board for the first time)
You will learn to
Safely launch and land a kite. Assisting someone to launch and land. Explore the different zones in the wind window (neutral zone/powerzone) Learn all about safety, kites set up, wind effects, body dragging, upwind bodydragging, stand on the board both sides.
Exercises
kite flying within the wind window, water relaunching/self rescue procedure, to get you comfortable flying a kite and enjoy the power in a safe way. Water Start theory on land and much more..
The second day we will focus on using your kiteflying skills to get you up on the board and ride!
Goals
Getting the board on your feet while flying a kite/ positioning the board/ making the powerstroke / getting up both sides
Where
The intro lesson lesson is on the beach close to the shore on shallow waters!
Bodydragging and water start lessons are taught from our boats and you will be wearing all necessary safety equipment like flotation vest and helmet.
At the end of this course we will evaluate your level and you will be certified with the IKO kiteboarder card.

The first 2 days are like the beginner kiteboarder program. The following days we will focus on staying upwind/ making transitions(changing direction), control the speed donwind

Private Lessons
DDC (Dynamic Direct Coaching) 2 Hours
These king of lessons is based on a much higher level of personalized teaching, 1 instructor and 1 student, 1 boat. The instructor is always next to the student on a boat waching every the student does and correcting if necessary. Private lessons are the most effective way to learn kiteboarding.
Most students needs 3 sessions in order to reach a high level of independent.

What do you need for lessons

Supervisions (no worries session) 2 Hours
This is not a lesson, its practicing time to anyone who want to improve their skills on a safe enviroment away from the crowed kiting zones. Supervisions are great for anyone seeking to enjoy nature or simply try their higher jumps having a instructor from a boat taking care.
Now the time to practice and enjoy riding has arrived!
Once you have finished your lesson and you are already sailing in both directions upwind (against the wind ) then you will be ready to take supervisions using you own equipment or rental from the school. We take you in a boat to kite Beach located about 4 kilometres , then you get yourself and your equipment ready and the fun begins. During the supervisions the instructor is at all times providing asístanse to you, whether is to help you set up the lines or general information on the weather and riding conditions or anything else that you may need. 2 hours and are done with a minimum of 2 people and maximum of 5 by instructor and boat.

Advance lessons (2 hours)
These lessons are for advanced kiters who wish to increase their skills level, learning quickly how to do manoeuvres, tricks or to upgrade their styles.

Rental Safety Rules
As kitesurfing is potentially a dangerous sport, we have specific rules concerning rental. If you want to hire kite material from us then you must prove to us that you can comply with our safety policies.

Who we are Prokitegua, is an aquatic sports centre and kitesurf school, located at the famous yaque beach, Margarita Island. The school is formed by a dedicated group of athletes, practitioners of kiteboarding with the intention to promote this extreme sport in Venezuela.
The yaque, beach with white sand, crystal clear waters and constant side shore winds, make of this place a worldwide recognized kiteboarding spot. The Centre offers private or group instructions programs, depending on client’s requirements, from novice to expert levels.

Our team of instructors is highly qualified and certified IKO (international kitesurfing organisation) and DDC (Dynamic Direct Coaching) with more than 6 years of experience, we guarantee an excellent level of lessons quality and all our clients finish the course, kiting satisfactorily.
All our instructors are experienced kiteboarders from Venezuela and abroad, with a long record of participation in national and international competitions. Within our team we have Jesus Fernández, known as "churrique" two-time national champion 2006 and 2007. Besides we have Juan Carlos of the rio (Judge) and Paul Cleverley (Judge) of the PKRA World competition.

we Are located at the end of el yaque beach, in front of the kite zone.
Schedules
From Monday to Saturday of 9:00 to.m – 5:00 p.m / Sundays of 9:00 to.m – 2:00 p.m
Wakeboarding
On days without wind, we organize wakeboarding lessons on the crystalline and smooth waters of the marita lagoon located just a few minutes by boat from el yaque beach. Wakeboarding is good way of practicing maneuvers, tricks, etc.
Kayaks Rental
Another option when there is no wind is to rent a kayak to stay in good shape and to walk through the mangrove swamps, observing the variety of local aquatic fauna. Boat ride to other beaches
We do transfers or taxis to other beaches in which you can get your equipment ready and to return downwind to el yaque beach. Two people Minimum.
Rescues
The rescue service is always available within the school hours. Always it is recommendable to sail in company or at least letting someone know that your are in the water.
Kitesboarding Excursions
Let yourself be captivated and come with us to enjoy the beautiful islands of coche, los roques y la tortuga. All you have to do is relax, eat and kite. We take care of the rest. Prokitegua organizes weekly trips to different spots in groups of maximum 16 kiters. these spot includes a variety of different water and wind conditions, for all types of riders, from beginners to advance seeking the maximum experience riding waves or flat waters for freestyles. Photos and Videos Photo and video shoot is part of our services. These photos and videos can be used for different purposes, Mostly use to observe and correct errors on body position, tricks, landing techniques, etc.
Repair Service "Doctor Bladder" In Prokitegua, we worry about the personal experience of each client and we will not permit that a simple puncture of the kite will ruin your kiting, for that reason our personalized service "Doctor Bladder" does any type of repair that your kite may need in a reasonable time, for a reasonable price. Fresh water to clean your equipment You can clean your equipment in the school, to keep it always clean, ready and dry for the next kiting session or to take back home.

During the time you are taking lessons you can keep your personal belongings in our small lockers next to the school. Also you can storage your equipment in the big lockers for the time you need for a reasonable price. We provide you with the best Technical advice to buy your equipment We have a large stock of new and used equipment for sale.
